Indented Flower and Stem Mug

These stoneware mugs are wheelthrown and altered after trimming when they are leather hard.  The altering creates a panel to decorate and leaves a beautiful feel to the mug when cupped in your hands. The flower is drawn on with slip on both sides. Then the flowers are hand-painted, carefully waxed and then the mug is dipped in the main glaze color.  They are fired twice in an electric kiln and then their bottoms are sanded until smooth to complete the process.  All are microwave, oven and dishwasher safe.

*There can be slight variations on shape, size or color due to the handmade, small batch, artisan crafted nature of the piece 🙂  In short, this means you will have a unique, one of a kind treasure!
