This smaller mug is wheelthrown stoneware. The clay body contains iron which leaves beautiful, dark speckles when it is fired. The ash from the wood kiln lands on the pieces during the firing and becomes part of the specks and glaze too! It is covered in flashing slip on the bottom outside and pistachio glaze for that beautiful red on the rest and wood fired to 1350 degrees Celsius.
Microwave and dishwasher safe.
